YoPaws provides force-free assistance dog training, owner-trainer coaching, behaviour support, and practical education for those starting or continuing their assistance or therapy dog journey.
We offer online courses, 1:1 consults, Puppy Foundations, day school–style training, and real-world exposure sessions focused on building confident, capable teams.
Not at all. While YoPaws specialises in assistance dog pathways, we also help:

• Therapy dogs
• Rescue dogs settling into new homes
• Puppies needing strong foundations
Any dog who needs education, support, or gentle guidance is welcome.
Yes, selectively.
In-person sessions are currently limited to Canberra, Queanbeyan, and nearby NSW regions.
For interstate clients, online coaching is the best place to begin.
Travel-based training may be arranged on request, with travel fees applying.

Yes, some YoPaws clients adopt or foster dogs.
Support is tailored to the dog and situation, and may include foundations, settling in, confidence work, and building predictable routines to reduce stress.
We offer guidance on breed suitability, temperament, lifestyle fit, and ethical sourcing (breeder, rescue, or rehome). We help you make informed, confident decisions.
Yes. We guide you through therapy dog foundations, handler expectations, and readiness, and help you choose a certification pathways.
Absolutely. YoPaws specialises in owner-trainer pathways, helping you build skills step by step, understand legal requirements, and prepare for public access readiness.
We provide invoices, reports, and training documentation suitable for self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants.
We cannot claim directly through NDIA (agency-managed), but we can help you navigate what’s possible.
We offer rescheduling with appropriate notice.
Refunds are not provided, except at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.
