Community Training: Bus Familiarisation 🚌🐾
Join YoPaws for a practical community training experience designed to help you and your dog build confidence around
buses and public transport.
This is a supported, real-world training session where we’ll work at each dog and handler team’s individual level. Depending on your dog, we may practise approaching and boarding a bus, settling on board, navigating confined spaces, positioning, focus and engagement, and working around the sights, sounds and distractions of a public transport environment.

Arrival: 4:15 pm for briefing
Location: Belconnen Bus Depot
Cost: $30 per dog and handler team
Eligibility: Current YoPaws clients only

This will be our
final Community Training session at the special $30 price as YoPaws prepares to introduce our new Community packages and member benefits.
Future community training, special training experiences and member pricing will form part of the new YoPaws Community structure.
On the Day
Please arrive at
4:15 pm for the participant and safety briefing before training begins.
There is no expectation that every dog will complete every activity. Training will be adapted to the individual dog and handler, and we will work at a pace appropriate for your dog.
Dogs must remain under the care and control of their handler at all times. Participants are responsible for themselves and their dogs and must follow safety instructions and directions from YoPaws, venue staff and transport personnel.
YoPaws may modify or stop an activity where necessary for the safety or welfare of dogs, handlers or others.
Photography & Video
As this event is for
existing YoPaws clients, your existing YoPaws participation, liability and media permissions apply.
Photography and/or video may be taken during the session for training, educational and promotional purposes.
Don't want to be photographed or filmed? No problem. Please let YoPaws or the photographer know on the day so we can respect your preference.
$30 per dog and handler team.
Bookings are confirmed once payment is received.
Cancellations, Rescheduling & Wet Weather
Bookings are confirmed once payment is received. Bookings are non-refundable for participant cancellation or change of mind.
This session is expected to proceed in wet weather unless conditions are considered unsafe or unsuitable for participants, dogs or the planned activities.
Event arrangements are subject to change. YoPaws and/or the event organiser may postpone, reschedule, relocate, modify or cancel the session where reasonably necessary due to weather, safety, operational requirements, venue or transport availability, or other circumstances outside YoPaws’ reasonable control.
Where a session is postponed or rescheduled, bookings will automatically be transferred to the new session. Participants will be advised of changes as soon as reasonably practicable.
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
